Deleting your data

You can have anything Crowdsim holds about you or your campaigns deleted, at any time, for free. Here is every way to do it.

Delete a campaign yourself

In the app's list of campaigns, open the campaign's menu and choose Delete. Its export, images, the crowd's reactions, the debrief and any test results are removed from our database straight away.

Disconnect an ad account

Disconnect it in the app, or in Meta: go to your Facebook settings, open Business Integrations, find Crowdsim and choose Remove. We delete the access token straight away and stop fetching anything. Results we've already fetched stay with your debriefs until you delete them, or ask us to.

Ask us to delete everything

Write to hello@crowdsim.ca from the address you use with Crowdsim, and say what you'd like deleted: one campaign, a connected ad account's data, or everything. We'll confirm and do it within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

That includes the crowd's stored answers that quote your ads' words, which the engine keeps so a repeat request gets the same answer.

What happens after

  • Deleted data is gone from our live database at once. Our database provider keeps short-term recovery copies for up to 30 days, and then they're gone too.
  • We keep only what the law requires us to, such as records of payments, and nothing that identifies your campaigns.

More about what we keep and why is on our privacy page.
